Mahoning Valley Scrappers two percentage points ahead in McNamara after Black Bears loss in 9th

Mahoning Valley (33-25) defeated the Batavia Muckdogs (24-34) on Tuesday night, 5-2 and moved two percentage points (.569 - .567) ahead of the West Virginia Black Bears (34-26) in the Pinckney Division of the New York-Penn League. The Black Bears lost in the ninth inning for the second night in a row when the State College Spikes (31-29) scored three runs for a walkoff victory.

Staten Island (39-20) won 3-1 at Aberdeen on Tuesday. The Yankees now lead the Hudson Valley Renegades (34-25) by 5 games in and McNamara Division. The Aberdeen IronBirds (33-27) are 6.5 games back.

The Vermont Lake Monsters (33-27) lead the Tri-City ValleyCats (30-29) by 2.5 games in the Stedler Division.
