I'm back.....

I returned from Florida several days ago, but haven't felt like writing much. Had a good trip; saw several games, including a college game in Columbia, SC, four spring training games (two involving the Pirates) and a World Baseball Classic game in Miami (USA v. Canada). Also spent a week in Cuba (but no baseball on the island during the WBC).

Although the New York-Penn League doesn't start until June 19, I will post general baseball topics from time to time and get serious about the NYPL season during the amateur draft in early June.

I'm looking forward the watching the Pirates this season. They have had an impressive spring and if their pitching holds up, they should be playing in October beyond the wild card game.
