Vermont Lake Monsters over Mahoning Valley Scrappers 8-3 in game one of playoffs

Vermont won 8-3 over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers tonight in game one of their playoff series before 1,515 fans at Centennial Field in Burlington. The Lake Monsters got home runs from Logan Farrar, Greg Deichmann, and Javier Godard. Heath Donica got the win in relief, striking out 4 in 1.1 innings. Simeon Lucas had a home run for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers.

Game two will be played on Monday at 7:05pm at Mahoning Valley.
