Monday Morning Report: Scores & Standings (August 20, 2018)

Around the League on Sunday: Batavia's Davis Bradshaw went 5 for 5 with an RBI and scored the go-ahead run in the Muckdogs' 4-2 win over the Auburn Doubledays. Aberdeen won their sixth game in a row, sweeping the Connecticut Tigers 1-0 and 5-4. Bryndan Arredondo hit a grand slam for the IronBirds. Kyle Watson singled in the bottom of the 10th and West Virginia scored two runs for a walkoff win over Williamsport 5-4. Crosscutters' Manager Pat Borders was not at Sunday's game after being hit by a foul line drive while standing in the dugout during Saturday's game. The State College Spikes completed a three game sweep of Mahoning Valley, winning 5-3. Stanley Espinal homered and had three RBI for the Spikes. The Scrappers have lost eight games in a row to fall 2.5 games behind Auburn in the Pinckney Division. Brooklyn led by Brian Sharp, defeated Hudson Valley 10-2 and the Cyclones and Renegades are now tied for first place in the McNamara Division.Vermont snapped a seven game losing streak with a 6-3 win over the Staten Island Yankees.
