Former PONY (New York-Penn) League prospect Pidge Browne was born on this date in 1929. He played in the PONY league during two seasons for the Hamilton Cardinals.

Browne played in 65 games for the 1962 Houston Colt .45s as a 33 year old rookie. 

He died on June 3, 1997, at the age of 68.
