Happy 69th Birthday to former New York-Penn League prospect Bill Castro. He played for the 1971 Newark Co-Pilots.

Castro pitched for the Milwaukee Brewers (1974-80), New York Yankees (1981), and Kansas City Royals (1982-83).

After his playing days he worked for the Milwaukee Brewers as a scout (1985-87) and coach (1989-2009). He coached for the Baltimore Orioles during 2012 and '13 seasons.
