Former New York-Penn League prospect Danny Frisella was born on this date in 1946. He pitched for the 1966 Auburn Mets.

Frisella played for the New York Mets (1967-72), Atlanta Braves (1973-74), San Diego Padres (1975), St. Louis Cardinals (1976), and Milwaukee Brewers (1976).

He was killed in a dune buggy accident on January 1, 1977, at the age of 30.
