On This Date in PONY (New York-Penn) League History: January 22, 1949

Shan Denison (correct spelling: Deniston) named manager of the Olean Oilers for the 1949 season. 

(Note: Deniston was replaced as manager by Lawrence Mancini on August 28, 1949.
