New York-Penn League Prospects who made it to the Majors: Galen Cisco

Former New York-Penn League prospect Galen Cisco played  for the 1958 Corning Red Sox. He pitched in 18 games for Corning (122 IP, 4-10, 3.91 ERA, 100 SO).

Prior to signing with the Boston Red Sox, he attended Ohio State University where he was captain of the football team and played baseball.

He went on to play majors during seven seasons with the Boston Red Sox (1961-62, '67), New York Mets (1962-65), and Kansas City Royals (1969).

After his retired as a player, Cisco coached in the majors with the Kansas City Royals, Montreal Expos, San Diego Padres, Toronto Blue Jays, and Philadelphia Phillies.

Cisco was elected to the Ohio State University Athletic Hall of Fame as a football and baseball player in 1995.
