Happy 67th birthday to former New York-Penn League prospect Don Aase. He pitched for the Williamsport Red Sox in 1972 (0-10, 5.81 ERA).

Aase played in the major for 13 seasons with the Boston Red Sox (1977), California Angels (1978-82, ’84), Baltimore Orioles (1985-88), New York Mets (1989) and Los Angeles Dodgers (1990).

He appeared in the 1986 All-Star game for the American League.
