Seminick played in the PONY (Pennsylvania-Ontario-New York) in 1940 with the London Pirates. He went on to play 15 seasons in the majors with the Philadelphia Phillies (1943-51, '55-'57) and Cincinnati Reds (1952-55). Seminick played in the 1949 All-Star game and the 1950 World Series.
After his playing days, Seminick managed for 11 seasons in the minor
leagues, including one season in the the New York-Penn League with the
Elmira Pioneers (1959).
He died on February 22, 2004 at the age of 83.
