Happy 94th Birthday to former Pennsylvania-Ontario-New York League prospect Elroy Face. He played for the Bradford (Blue Wings 1949 & Phillies, 1950).

He went on to a 16 year major league career, pitching for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1953, ’55-’68), Detroit Tigers (1968), and Montreal Expos (1969). He pitched in four games in the 1960 World Series for the World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates.
