Former Pennsylvania-Ontario-New York League prospect Dick Kokos was born on this date in 1928. He played for the Batavia Clippers for two seasons (1945-46).

Kokos played in the majors during 5 seasons for the St. Louis Browns (1948-50, '53) and Baltimore Orioles (1954).

He died on April 9, 1986, at the age of 58.
