Former Pennsylvania-Ontario-New York League prospect and New York-Penn League manager John O'Neil was born on this date in 1920. He played for the Jamestown Falcons in 1941 and 1954, and managed the team during the 1963 season.
He played in 46 games for the 1946 Philadelphia Phillies.
O'Neil lived in Jamestown, New York after his career and died there in on April 18, 2012, at the age of 91.
