Happy 78th Birthday to former New York-Penn League prospect Bob Montgomery. He played for the 1962 Olean Red Sox.

Montgomery played in the majors during 10 seasons as a backup catcher for the Boston Red Sox (1970-79). 

After he retired as a player, he worked for several years as a television color analyst for Red Sox games.
