Taking the day off

There will be no recap post today. I have posted the standings and attendance on Twitter at @NYPennNews.

Batavia, Hudson Valley, and Lowell all lead their respective divisions. Brooklyn is up by 1 game in the Wild Card race with 25 games remaining on the schedule.

Declining attendance continues. I was surprised by the lack of fans in the stands last night (see photo below) at Granville, West Virginia for their final bobblehead night of the season. Attendance was reported as 1,307. With the season ticket no shows, significantly fewer fans were in attendance.

Apparently, declining attendance at Black Bears games is not a concern for the ownership. Average game attendance has declined from 2,265 in 2015 to 1,599 this season.
