New York-Penn League Prospects who made it to the Majors: Randy Lerch

Randy Lerch was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 8th round of the 1973 draft and assigned to the Auburn Phillies in the New York-Penn League. Lerch pitched in 16 games for Auburn (9-2, 2.91 ERA).

He made his major league debut in 1975, appearing in three games with the Philadelphia Phillies. He pitched in the majors for 11 seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies (1975-80, ’86), Milwaukee Brewers (1981-82), Montreal Expos (1982-83), San Francisco Giants (1983-84).
