Happy 71st birthday to former New York-Penn League prospect Mike Thompson. He pitched for the Geneva Senators in 1967 (2-5, 3.76 ERA)

Thompson played in the majors during four seasons with the Washington Senators (1971), St. Louis Cardinals (1973-74) and Atlanta Braves (1974-75).

(Note: Despite the Rangers card, he never pitched for Texas).
