On this date in the New York-Penn League history: February 10, 1985

The Utica Blue Sox named Steve Nichols to the director of operations position. Nichols had been assistant general manager of the Jacksonville Expos in the Southern League and was a pitcher in the Cincinnati Reds system for three seasons.
