Dick Beradino was named manager of the Williamsport Red Sox. Beradino would go on to manage in the New York-Penn League for 17 seasons (Willamsport Red Sox, 1971-72; Elmira Pioneers/Suns, 1973-85; Lowell Spinners, 1997-98).
