1939 New York-Penn (aka: PONY) Prospects who played Major League Baseball

I am currently working on a research project, developing a list of all New York-Penn League (Pennsylvania-Ontario-New York or PONY prior to 1957) players who played major league baseball.

Listed below are players from the 1939 season. I have been able to identify 17 players from the league's initial season who played in the majors. The entry for Bunny Roser is not a typo. Roser was a player/manager for the 1939 Bradford Bees and played for the Boston Braves in 1922.

There were six teams in the PONY league in 1939. I could not identify any players from the Niagara Falls Rainbows or the Jamestown Jaguars who played in the major leagues.

This project will take a while. I only have 78 more seasons to go. I'll post each season as they are completed. Next up: 1940. If I missed anyone, please let me know.

Correction/Update on October 12: I missed Walt Chipple who played with Niagara Falls in 1939 and Batavia in 1939-40. Chipple played for the Washington Senators in 1945. The list below will be updated.
