Staten Island Yankees coaching staff announced

The New York Yankees have assigned field staff to the Staten Island Yankees for the 2018 season.

Lino Diaz has been named manager. Diaz served as a coach with the Trenton Thunder in the Eastern League in 2017.

Ken Joyce will serve as hitting coach after spending the 2017 season as a coach in the South Atlantic League with the Charleston River Dogs.

Pitching coach Travis Phelps returns for his third season with the Staten Island Yankees.

Other staff named for the 2018 season include athletic trainer Jon Becker, strength coach Daniel Smith, and video manager Joe Wielbruda.
