Former New York-Penn League prospect Roy Johnson was born on this date in 1959. He played for the 1980 Jamestown Expos.

Johnson went on to play in 36 games for the Montreal Expos during three seasons (1982, '84-'85). 

He died of a heart attack on January 26, 2009, at the age of 49.
