Former PONY/New York-Penn League prospect and coach Ken Rowe was born on this date in 1933. He played for the 1953 Jamestown Falcons and coached for the Watertown Indians (1995) and Mahoning Valley Scrappers (2001-02, 06-10).

Rowe played in the majors during three seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers (1963) and Baltimore Orioles (1964-65). 

He died on November 22, 2012, at the age of 78.
